Defensive Driving (classroom)
Arizona allows drivers to attend this class once every two years for citation dismissal. The citation must be classified as a non-criminal moving violation that assesses points against your driver's license.

Why Attend Defensive Driving Class?
It's Cheaper - In most cases, the cost of attending Defensive Driving Class is less than the fine you would pay for the citation.

Clean Driving Record - If you attend the class, the citation is diverted away from the courts and thus does not count as a conviction. No conviction = no points assessed against your driver's license. And that also means...

No Insurance Rate Adjustment - Since you have no points assessed against your license, your insurance rates should not increase (unless you have to make a claim against the company).

Avoid Traffic Survival School - There are several situations that will cause you to attend Traffic Survival School:

Running a Red Light - If you are convicted of a red light violation, Arizona law requires you to attend Traffic Survival School. Fines for a red light violation are over $150.00 in Arizona, plus the cost of Traffic Survival School. In addition to the increased costs, you'll spend more time in a class and have points assessed against your driver's license!

Driving on a Graduated Driver's License?
If you are 16-18 and are driving on a Graduated Driver's (Class G) License, Arizona law requires you to complete Traffic Survival School upon receipt of your first conviction! Defensive Driving can keep you out of that class, decrease your out-of-pocket costs and keep the points off of your license!

Refresher on Arizona Traffic Laws - Do you know all the recent laws and how they affect you? We do, and we'll teach them to you! Our fees for voluntary attendance at a Defensive Driving School are very low. Even better, voluntary attendance doesn't prohibit you from attending the class for a citation dismissal!

About The Class - Defensive Driving Class is controlled by the Arizona Supreme Court, which mandates not only the amount of time spent in class, but also the curriculum to be taught. Instructors must be court approved and must attend regular refresher training. Fees vary, dependent on the court that has jurisdiction over your citation. See our Fees page for specific information.
